Commercial Metal Processing Industry Case Study

An industry leader in the commercial metal processing industry needed to improve the way they moved steel bundles around their facility. To better understand the application and to work with the customer to define the design requirements for their solution, a member of the Electro Kinetic Technologies application engineering team visited the customer site.

During this visit the solution identified required a motorized transfer cart, 48” wide x 120” long with four removable posts in each corner for loading of materials and a 20,000 pound payload capacity. It also needed to have wireless control, the ability to the ability to maneuver into and out of tight spaces and customer required safety features including audible horn and visible lights when the cart was moving.
